William Bumgarner

Biography

William Bumgarner, born in 1837, carved a life of dedication as a mason whose craftsmanship helped shape homes, barns, and foundations in the Mossburg area, now honored near Mossburg Cemetery. He took pride in every stone he set, knowing that solid work offers shelter and comfort to families for generations.

Beyond his trade, William was a steady presence for neighbors, sharing knowledge, encouraging young apprentices, and lending support when storms came, so that his contributions lived on in both built form and generous spirit.
