Biography

William Chafy was an Anglican priest who dedicated his life to religious service during the 18th and early 19th centuries. His ministry reflected the spiritual leadership expected of the clergy during the Georgian period.

Chafy's long life of eighty years allowed him to serve his congregation at Sturry with consistency and devotion. He represented the established church's presence in his community throughout a period of social change.
