William DuBose

Biography

William DuBose lived during the early nineteenth century, a time of significant change and development in the American South. He established himself in the community and became part of the civic life of his region during the antebellum period.

DuBose lived for sixty-nine years, witnessing the transformation of American society during the decades preceding the Civil War. He was laid to rest in St. Stephen, a burial ground that preserves the memory of many early American residents.
