Biography

William Edgar Hughes, born in 1840, witnessed the nation’s passage through war and peace and did his part to meet each new challenge with integrity and quiet determination.

He brought that same resolve to his family, to the civic causes he could assist, and to the friendships he kept over the years, leaving behind a legacy of reliability at Fairmount Cemetery.
