Biography

William Edwin Hoffmann was born as the world leaned toward a new century, and he answered the call to serve in factories and volunteer squads that kept Memorial Park's bustle alive. After returning from duty overseas, he became a master machinist who took pride in mentoring apprentices and keeping the rhythms of progress honest.

He loved a barefoot afternoon fishing at the nearby pond and a good story shared with the folks who came to watch Memorial Park's bands. He now sleeps among the trees at Memorial Park Cemetery, a serene place that reflects the calm dignity he carried.
