William Francis Sayles

Biography

William Francis Sayles was born in 1824 and spent his adult years contributing to the life of Rhode Island through everyday stewardship and attention to those near him. Although specific records do not list his occupation, he was much admired for his thoughtful manner and for keeping faith with the responsibilities he held.

He passed away in 1894 and was laid to rest at Swan Point Cemetery, where friends and family remember him as a calm presence whose years of quiet constancy spanned a transformative century.
