Biography
William Frawley brightened screens and stages for decades, winning fame for his work in theater, film, and television. He gave particular heart to his portrayal of Fred Mertz, creating a character that remains beloved for his humor and soul.
Outside of show business he was known for loyalty to friends and a generous willingness to mentor younger performers; he now rests at San Fernando Mission Cemetery.
