William Gardner

Biography

William Gardner, born in 1827, spent a life shaped by the rapid developments of the nineteenth century, and though his occupation is not recorded, he sustained the daily rhythms that knit his community together in Newton.

He was treasured for the calm integrity he brought to every season of life, and he rests now in Newton Cemetery among those whose memories continue to inspire.
