William H. Brand

Biography

William H. Brand, born in 1824, was a familiar presence at the Leonardsville Seventh Day Baptist Church, where he demonstrated steadfast faith and a calm leadership that comforted his fellow worshippers through good times and difficult seasons alike.

He quietly supported the cause of education and the relief of neighbors in need, and when he passed in 1891, he was laid to rest in the church cemetery, leaving behind the memory of a generous heart.
