William H. Ewing

Biography

William H. Ewing, 1841–1924, was a pillar of the Meherrin Presbyterian Church congregation, volunteering as a deacon and helping maintain the meetinghouse while also tending a farm that supplied the neighborhood with food and friendship.

Those who knew him recall a gentle man whose tireless care for young families and elders alike brightened the rural community, a spirit still honored at his gravesite.
