William Hemsley

Biography

William Hemsley was born in 1737 and lived through seventy-five years of American history, from the colonial period through the early decades of the young republic. He was a member of his community whose long life allowed him to witness profound changes in his nation.

Hemsley passed away in 1812 and was laid to rest at Clover Fields Farm Cemetery. His memory is preserved in the historical records of his community and in the cemetery where he was interred.
