Biography

William Henry Harrison Eba, who arrived in 1831, carried through the nineteenth century a steady devotion to the earliest ideals of the republic, encouraging young families to root themselves in community and respect one another's labor.

He cherished the friendships nurtured in Ashland, and when he died in 1911 he was brought to rest at Ashland Cemetery, where visitors still recall his gentle perseverance.
