William Henry Porter

Biography

William Henry Porter (1817–1861) was a nineteenth-century resident who lived during the antebellum period and the opening years of the Civil War. He was a contemporary of many who witnessed the nation's greatest crisis.

Porter was interred at Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston. His death in 1861 marked the beginning of the war that would define his era.
