William Hillhouse

Biography

William Hillhouse lived a full life spanning nearly nine decades during America's formative years. Born in 1728, he witnessed the transformation of the young nation from colonial times through the early decades of independence.

His legacy is preserved at Raymond Hill Cemetery, where he was laid to rest following his death in 1816. Hillhouse's long life connected him to multiple generations of his community.
