William McCulloch
1856–1928 (age 72)
Biography
William McCulloch dedicated his adult life to missionary service, crossing seas to carry the Christian message into unfamiliar lands and to support schools and hospitals that helped vulnerable families find hope. Wherever his calling took him, he bore witness to a faith rooted in humility and in respect for the people he served.
On returning to Scotland he made his final home at Warriston, where the quiet paths of the cemetery remind us of his journeys and where friends continue to recall the gentle humour with which he told of distant shores before passing peacefully in 1928.
