Biography
William Oakes Blunt (1791–1831) was a gentleman of the early 19th century whose life, though relatively brief, was lived during a period of significant social and cultural change in England. He was part of the gentry class that shaped local and national affairs.
Blunt died in 1831 at the age of 40, his life cut short in the prime of his years. He was buried at the Church of All Saints in Lydiard Millicent, where his memory was preserved among the monuments of his parish.
