William Scanland

Biography

William Scanland (1778–1850) lived through the founding era of the United States and witnessed the nation's early development. His life spanned more than seven decades of American history, from the Revolutionary period through the early nineteenth century.

His memory is preserved at Sadler Cemetery, where he rests among his community. He is remembered as a member of the generations that built early American society.
