William Seligman

Biography

William Seligman lived through a transformative era in European history, witnessing the industrialization and modernization of the nineteenth century. Born in 1822, he experienced the development of new technologies, social movements, and cultural changes that shaped the modern world.

Seligman's long life extended from the early nineteenth century into the twentieth, allowing him to observe nearly nine decades of historical change. He passed away in 1910 and was laid to rest in Montmartre Cemetery, having lived through one of history's most dynamic periods.
