Biography
William Stanley (1858–1916) was a longtime member of the Mahaiwe neighborhood whose presence brought comfort and continuity to many families. He took care in his daily tasks, whether guiding young apprentices, supporting local trades, or keeping the stories of earlier generations alive for his grandchildren.
Committed to the natural beauty that surrounded him, he could often be found sharing a kind word on a walk through town or lending a hand wherever needed. His memory lingers at Mahaiwe Cemetery as a testimony to a patient, generous heart.
