Biography

William Zisman was a physicist and chemist whose pioneering surface science research at the Naval Research Laboratory advanced adhesives, coatings, and the understanding of molecular interactions.

Colleagues admired his patient curiosity and his efforts to translate laboratory insight into practical tools for scientists and engineers, and he is remembered at King David Memorial Gardens where his contributions to material science continue to influence innovators.
