Biography

Willibald Besta was a talented graphic designer whose creative work contributed to the visual culture of his time. Born in 1866, he developed his design practice during the period of significant artistic and technological innovation at the turn of the twentieth century.

Besta's work in graphic design reflected the evolving aesthetic principles of the modern era. He continued his creative practice throughout his life, ultimately settling in Munich where he remained until his death in 1949.
