Biography

Winsor McCay brought a dreamlike imagination to the newspapers of the early 20th century, enchanting readers with Little Nemo and other whimsical adventures that blended playful storytelling with meticulous draftsmanship. He pushed the boundaries of his medium by experimenting with pacing, perspective, and the very mechanics of comic strips, all while writing, drawing, and printing with a restless devotion to craft.
