Xarifa Hamilton Towner

Biography

Xarifa Hamilton Towner was born in 1881 and carried a love of learning and human connection into every conversation; she guided young people toward education and reminded adults of the importance of civic charity.

Her death in 1918 left the Pilgrim Home community with determined memories of a compassionate leader whose optimism and disciplined habits inspired those around her.
