Yakov Yakovlev

Biography

Yakov Arkadyevich Yakovlev (1896–1938) was a Soviet politician who served in various governmental roles during the Soviet Union's early decades. He was involved in Soviet administration during the period of rapid industrialization and social transformation.

Yakovlev was arrested and executed at the Kommunarka shooting ground in 1938 as part of Stalin's Great Purge. His execution reflected the systematic elimination of party officials and government functionaries during this period of widespread persecution.
