Biography

Yevdokiya Dmitriyeva was a young Soviet woman whose life was claimed by World War II at just twenty years of age. She represents the countless civilians and servicemembers whose lives were cut short by the war's devastation.

Dmitriyeva's memory is preserved at Mamayev Kurgan, a solemn memorial to all those, regardless of age or circumstance, who perished during the conflict that transformed the Soviet Union.
