Biography

Yevstafy Fyodorov-Chmykhov (1861–1888) was a Russian writer whose literary career, though brief, contributed to the intellectual discourse of late nineteenth-century Russia. He emerged as a voice in Russian letters during a period of significant cultural and social change.

Despite his relatively short lifespan, Fyodorov-Chmykhov made his mark on Russian literature during the final decades of the imperial era. He was buried at Volkovo Cemetery, where he rests among other notable writers and cultural figures of Saint Petersburg.
