Yitsḥaḳ ben Shelomoh Farḥi, born in 1779, was renowned for his piety and for the steadiness with which he taught the Sephardic youth of Jerusalem. He guided the faithful through seder, study, and the complex rituals of the holy days, always emphasizing compassion.
