Biography
Yitzhak Alterman (1881–1939) devoted his life to education, leading classrooms, setting curricula, and training teachers to instill pride in Hebrew language and Jewish history across the Yishuv.
He promoted initiatives in both urban and rural settings, believed in empowering children through study and discipline, and is remembered at Trumpeldor cemetery by the many students whose lives he shaped.
