Biography
Yoel Dovid Levinsohn was a composer of the early 19th century whose musical contributions reflected the rich cultural heritage of Warsaw's Jewish community. Active during a transformative period in European music, he composed works that bridged traditional and contemporary musical sensibilities.
Levinsohn's legacy is preserved in the records of the Okopowa Street Jewish Cemetery, where he was laid to rest in 1850. His life spanned the years 1815 to 1850, a period of significant artistic development in Central Europe.
