Young Stribling rose from humble beginnings to become one of the most persistent and admired boxers of his day, thrilling audiences with quick combinations and a willingness to face formidable opponents.

Though his life was cut short, his sportsmanship and courage in the ring inspired fans coast to coast, and he remains honored at Riverside Cemetery for his contributions to boxing.
