Biography
Yuri Nikolayevich Golitsyn (1823–1872) was a Russian composer who contributed to the musical life of 19th-century Russia. As a member of the prominent Golitsyn family, he participated in the cultural flourishing of the Russian Empire during the reign of Alexander II.
Golitsyn was laid to rest at Lazarev Cemetery in Saint Petersburg, a distinguished burial ground that housed many of Russia's cultural and aristocratic figures.
