Biography
Zdeněk Wiesenberger was born in 1901 and lived through the entire span of modern Czech history. From the twilight of the Austro-Hungarian Empire through the creation of Czechoslovakia and into the communist period, his life reflected the profound transformations of Central Europe.
Wiesenberger passed away in 1982 and was interred at Vinohrady Cemetery in Prague. His long life of over eighty years connected the old world of the nineteenth century with the modern era of the twentieth.
