Zdeňka Veselá

Biography

Zdeňka Veselá (1930–1998) was a Czech translator whose work bridged languages and cultures during the latter half of the twentieth century. Her contributions to translation helped facilitate cultural and intellectual exchange within the Czech literary and academic communities.

Veselá's dedication to her profession reflected a commitment to making works and ideas accessible across linguistic boundaries. She was laid to rest in the Cemetery in Řepy, where she is remembered for her scholarly contributions and her role in promoting cross-cultural understanding through her translation work.
