Biography

Zephaniah Swift (1759–1823) was a distinguished lawyer and legal scholar who made significant contributions to American jurisprudence during the early years of the republic. His career spanned the Revolutionary War era and the formative decades of the United States, during which he helped establish legal frameworks for the new nation.
