Zitkala-Sa was a renowned writer, musician, and activist who tirelessly worked to preserve Native American culture while advocating for the rights of Indigenous peoples in the United States. Her autobiographical writings, essays, and collaborations with the Bureau of Indian Affairs highlighted both the richness of her Dakota heritage and the injustices faced by Native communities.
