Biography

Zoltán Speidl (1880–1917) was a Hungarian association football referee who contributed to the development of organized sports in Hungary during the early 20th century. As a referee, he played an important role in establishing and maintaining standards for the emerging sport of football in Central Europe.

Speidl is remembered at Farkasréti Cemetery, one of Budapest's most significant burial grounds, reflecting his place in Hungarian sporting history during the formative years of organized athletics.
