Biography
Zygmunt Aleksander Wnęk, born in 1918, joined the Polish armed forces in a time of great peril and served with resolve as his country sought to defend liberty. Though his time was brief, he gave himself fully to the cause, standing alongside his comrades with steadfast loyalty.
He died in 1944, a sacrifice remembered among the rows of the Polish Cemetery in Grainville-Langannerie, where his bravery continues to inspire respect for those who fought for freedom.
