Иван Максимович Ореус (1787–1863) was a notable figure in Russian society during the early nineteenth century. He lived through a transformative period in Russian history and was respected in his community.

Oreус spent his life contributing to the cultural and social fabric of his era. He was laid to rest at Volkovo Cemetery, one of Saint Petersburg's most significant burial grounds, reflecting his standing in society.
