Biography
Andrey Mikhailovich Saranchov was a Russian military officer of considerable experience and standing. He served during the final years of the Russian Empire and witnessed the dramatic upheavals of the revolutionary period.
Saranchov eventually made his way to France, where he became part of the Russian exile community centered at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois. He remained there until his death in 1935, maintaining connections with fellow Russian officers and émigrés who had fled their homeland.
