Biography

Nikolai Alexeyevich Gavin was a Russian military officer whose service reflected the turbulent history of early twentieth-century Russia. He was dedicated to his military career during a period of profound national transformation.

Following the Russian Revolution, Gavin became part of the Russian diaspora community in France. He spent his later years in Paris and was buried at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery, a sanctuary for displaced members of the Russian military and aristocracy.
