Biography

Мефодий (Иванов) was a Russian Orthodox clergyman who lived during a period of significant upheaval in the Soviet Union. He dedicated his life to his faith and pastoral duties despite the challenging circumstances of the early Soviet era.

He was executed at the Butovo firing range in 1937 during the Great Purge, a period of mass persecution that claimed the lives of countless clergy and religious figures across the Soviet Union.
