Biography
Abram Markovich Lezhnev (1893–1938) was a Soviet literary critic and writer who contributed to Soviet cultural discourse during the 1920s and early 1930s. He participated in debates about Soviet literature and cultural policy during the formative years of Soviet artistic development.
Lezhnev fell victim to Stalin's purges and was executed at the Kommunarka shooting ground in 1938. His death exemplified the broader suppression of intellectual and cultural figures during this period of state terror.
