Adam Bogardus

Adam Bogardus (1834–1913) earned distinction as a champion marksman whose steady aim and calm demeanor uplifted the sport of shooting and inspired young athletes to pursue the same discipline.

He shared his knowledge generously, mentoring others and leaving behind a legacy of fair play that is still celebrated at Elkhart Cemetery.
