Biography
Born in 1873, Afrikan Pelageevich Bogaewsky distinguished himself as a military leader of the Kuban Cossacks, guiding them through the upheavals of the early twentieth century with a firm commitment to duty.
After the Civil War he devoted himself to preserving the Cossack heritage and caring for compatriots in exile, passing away in France and being laid to rest at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery.
