Biography
Akmal Ikramov (1898–1938) was a prominent Soviet politician who held significant positions in the Communist Party, particularly in Central Asian affairs. He was involved in Soviet governance during a critical period of industrialization and collectivization.
Ikramov was arrested and executed at the Kommunarka shooting ground in 1938 as part of Stalin's Great Purge. His death represented the elimination of experienced party officials who were perceived as threats to Stalin's absolute authority.
