Biography
Albert Casimir, Duke of Teschen (1738–1822) was an important aristocratic and military figure of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. As Duke of Teschen, he held significant influence within the Habsburg domains and participated in the political and military affairs of Central Europe during a period of considerable upheaval.
His long life spanned the American and French Revolutions and the Napoleonic Wars, during which he maintained his position as a respected member of the Habsburg nobility. Albert Casimir was interred in the Imperial Crypt, reflecting his prominence within the imperial family.
