Biography

Alexander Gordon, 4th Duke of Gordon, was a prominent Scottish nobleman and politician whose influence extended across both Scottish and British political spheres. His tenure as a member of the aristocracy placed him at the center of significant political developments during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, where he wielded considerable authority and influence.

The Duke maintained his seat among Scotland's most powerful families and played an active role in parliamentary and political affairs. Upon his death in 1827, he was interred at Elgin Cathedral, a resting place befitting his elevated station and the prominence he had achieved throughout his distinguished life.
