Biography
Alexander S. Clay, born in 1853, dedicated much of his life to serving the people of his home state as a trusted public servant and U.S. Senator. He approached each issue with earnestness and the desire to secure fair opportunities for all Georgians during times of challenge and change.
Clay believed in the power of dialogue and collaboration, often reaching across differences to find practical solutions. When he passed in 1910, Marietta City Cemetery became his final resting place, honoring a statesman respected for his integrity and dedication.
