Biography
Alfred Worden brought intellect and poise to NASA’s Apollo program, serving as command module pilot on Apollo 15 and performing one of the first deep-space EVA’s. His scientific acumen, leadership, and commitment to exploration contributed to a mission that expanded lunar science and inspired countless people to look upward.
After leaving active duty he shared the story of humanity’s venture to the Moon, and now Arlington National Cemetery honors the life of this dedicated astronaut and public servant.
