Biography

Allen Munroe was a devoted public servant whose work in law, trade, and local governance helped sustain his upstate New York community through a time of economic growth and social change. His steady leadership and fair-minded approach were well regarded by his contemporaries.

He died in 1884 and was laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, where his commitment to civic life remains part of the area’s remembered heritage.
